: Registration has opened for ACAโ€™s Hill Day! It'll be a jam-packed and empowering in-person event, taking place September 16-17 in Washington, D.C. The first day will focus on essential advocacy training to prepare you to meet with legislators and networking opportunities with fellow counselors. The next day, we will convene on Capitol Hill to meet with legislators and share the most important issues facing the counseling profession.

We are also excited to note that registration is FREE for the first 50 ACA Student Members! Take advantage and register today!

Additionally, we're excited to announce the 2026 Hill Day Grant Program! This grant program is designed to support counselors and counseling students' participation in federal advocacy by providing financial assistance to attend this Hill Day event in Washington, D.C.! ACA Publications is seeking qualified individuals interested in serving as an author, co-authoring team, or volume editor for a new, up-to-date book focused on counseling older adults.

In light of demographic shifts toward an aging population and recent changes in Medicare policy affecting mental health coverage, ACA aims to publish a resource that reflects current practice, policy, and research related to counseling older clients across settings.
