What a wonderful morning! A few of our Riviera members enjoyed exploring one of Alexandria’s local gems, Old Town Books! We received such a warm welcome from Kathryn Howell Dalton, Community and School Liaison, who shared the bookstore’s history, gave us a lovely tour, and introduced us to their wonderful children’s programs and beautiful space for young readers. We were especially inspired to learn about their connection with InspireLit, a local organization helping bring books to children in our community. We’re already looking forward to returning and exploring more opportunities to give back! At The Riviera, it’s these little moments of connection and kindness that make our community so special. 📚❤️

🎃 Pumpkin Chic: Yarn Art Workshop w/ Stephanie Kelly. Who knew wrapping a pumpkin in colorful, chunky yarn could turn into such a hilarious adventure? What started as a chic autumn craft quickly became a delightful comedy of errors as we tried to keep all those yarn ends in place! Between tangled fingers, runaway yarn, and endless laughter, every little mishap added to the charm. The best part? The laughter, creativity, and wonderful connections we shared along the way. Beautiful pumpkins, colorful yarn, and even more colorful memories made this workshop truly unforgettable! 🧶✨

What a fantastic day exploring National Geographic with our Riviera Alexandria members! We had a wonderful, guided tour and learned so much about the building’s recent renovation, including all the thought and detail that went into bringing the space to life. One of the highlights was seeing the famous portrait of the Afghan girl, a photograph many of us recognized. We also enjoyed exploring the photography exhibit and seeing some of the incredible stories captured through the lens of National Geographic. To make the visit even more special, we got a behind-the-scenes tour and had the chance to see some of the early editions of National Geographic magazine. It was so interesting to look back at how it all began and how much it has evolved over the years! It was a fun and memorable outing filled with amazing photography, fascinating stories, and plenty of new things to learn. We love these opportunities to explore, discover, and enjoy new experiences together! 💛

Marc and Pam have one piece of advice for anyone who thinks a move might still be years away: start sooner than you think. Planning ahead gave them something they didn’t fully appreciate until it was done, a sense of retirement freedom that their friends are now noticing too.

Another beautiful day, another fun adventure! Our Riviera Alexandria members enjoyed a picture-perfect fall excursion to Nalls Produce Pumpkin Patch, where pumpkins of all shapes, sizes, and colors stole the show! From soaking up the autumn sunshine to enjoying all the seasonal sights, it was a day full of fresh air and fall fun! At Riviera Alexandria, there’s always something exciting on the calendar! We’re staying active, exploring new places, making memories, and living life to the fullest—one adventure at a time! ❤️🎃🍂🍁☀️

A little fall beauty and creativity at The Riviera! Our monthly Floral Workshop with the lovely Corrine is always a favorite among our members! This month, Corrine brought a gorgeous selection of fall blooms, inspiring everyone to create their own beautiful floral arrangements. It was a wonderful afternoon of seasonal inspiration, beautiful blooms, and creativity shared among friends. And the best part? Everyone got to bring home their own stunning creation to enjoy! 🌻✨

Riviera Artist Series Featuring Julien Xuereb ! What a wonderful afternoon of music at Riviera Alexandria! We were delighted to welcome Julien Xuereb, an innovative French guitarist, singer, songwriter, and composer who attended the prestigious Peabody Conservatory of Music. With his passion for music and creative artistry, Julien strives to make every performance a unique and memorable experience—and he certainly did just that! Our well-attended concert was filled with beautiful classical guitar melodies, incredible talent, and a wonderful appreciation for live music. It was a joy to see our Riviera community come together for another special musical experience! A heartfelt thank you to Julien for sharing his remarkable talent with us and to everyone who joined us for this lovely afternoon! We had such a beautiful day exploring George Washington's Mount Vernon! Our tour guide welcomed us and shared the history of this amazing estate. After the tour, we enjoyed a lovely lunch at the historic Mount Vernon Inn, followed by a little shopping at the gift shop. What a wonderful day of history, good food, and great company!
