Every child who walks through my door brings more than a reading struggle. They often carry frustration, self doubt, embarrassment, and the belief that they’re “not smart enough.”
I don’t just teach children how to read.
I help them believe in themselves again.
I celebrate every new sound, every word read correctly, every page finished, and every moment they realize they can do something they once thought was impossible. Because confidence doesn’t come from hearing “good job.” It comes from experiencing success.
Reading is the goal, but confidence is the gift that changes everything. When a child begins to believe in their own abilities, that confidence follows them into the classroom, onto the playground, and throughout their life.
There is nothing more rewarding than watching a child go from saying, “I can’t,” to proudly saying, “Watch me.”
I see families in person in DC, Alexandria, and Arlington, and online across DC, VA, and CA, and are in-network with some insurances!
