🌸 Freedom to Bloom 🌸

What a wonderful time we had at our Freedom to Bloom event! We kicked off the celebration with a lively Flower Relay Race, and there was plenty of laughter and friendly competition as everyone joined in the fun.

After working up an appetite, we enjoyed delicious watermelon and cookies prepared especially for us by Chef Brent. It was the perfect sweet treat to keep the excitement going!

We then spent the afternoon planting flowers, getting our hands a little dirty while creating beautiful arrangements to enjoy. The activity gave everyone a chance to be creative and celebrate growth, beauty, and community.

From the games and treats to the planting and fellowship, Freedom to Bloom was a fun-filled event that brought smiles, laughter, and wonderful memories for all who attended. We are already looking forward to our next blooming adventure! 🌼🌻🌺

🎶🌺 There's nothing quite like music to bring people together! Our residents had a wonderful time dancing along to "Pearly Shells," filling the room with smiles, laughter, and joyful memories.

From every step and sway to the shared moments of connection, it was a beautiful reminder that music has a special way of bringing happiness to every generation. We loved seeing everyone having so much fun! 💛

🌺🌴 Aloha to Freedom Luau Party! 🌴🌺
What a wonderful day of tropical fun and celebration at our annual Aloha to Freedom Luau Party! Our residents helped make this event extra special by working together to create beautiful centerpieces and set up the luau bar, adding their own personal touch to the festivities.

Dressed in colorful leis, Hawaiian shirts, and even a few grass skirts, everyone embraced the island spirit! One of the highlights of the day was our residents' performance of “Pearly Shells,” where they proudly danced and shared their talents with fellow residents, families, and guests.

The room was filled with laughter, music, friendship, and plenty of aloha as we celebrated freedom, community, and the joy of being together. Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's luau such a memorable event!

🎶🕺💃 Through the Years: 1970s Decade Dance! 💃🕺🎶

Groovy times were had by all at our Through the Years 70s Decade Dance at Asher Point of Amarillo! Before the big event, our residents got creative by making their own colorful tie-dye shirts, which they proudly wore to the party and helped set the perfect 70s vibe.

As we danced to the music of the era, residents shared treasured memories of life in the 1970s—favorite songs, fashions, activities, and special moments that made the decade unforgettable. The highlight of the afternoon was our 70s trivia game, which brought back so many memories and sparked wonderful conversations, laughter, and friendly competition.

It was a joyful celebration filled with music, memories, and fun as we took a trip back in time together. Thank you to everyone who helped make this far-out event such a success! ✌️🌼🎵

Our Fourth of July celebration at Asher Point of Amarillo was filled with pride, patriotism, gratitude, delicious food, and wonderful family memories!
Before lunch, residents gathered for our special Red, White & Honor Program.

We would like to thank everyone who helped make the program so meaningful:
⭐ Resident Pam opened the ceremony with prayer.
⭐ Resident Glenn delivered the welcome address.
⭐ Resident Augusta proudly led the Pledge of Allegiance.
⭐ Together, we sang The Star-Spangled Banner and honored our nation's veterans as the military branch hymns were played.
⭐ Veteran Resident Cele shared a heartfelt tribute to her fellow veterans, reminding us of the sacrifices made for our freedom.
⭐ Our Resident Council President Jeannie concluded the program with thoughtful closing remarks.

As a token of appreciation, residents received 250th Anniversary commemorative pins and American flags, adding even more patriotic spirit to the day.

Following the program, everyone enjoyed a delicious Independence Day lunch featuring a mouthwatering brisket meal that residents were still bragging about days later!

A very special congratulations and thank you to Chef Brent and our entire Culinary Team for their unwavering dedication and hard work. Their commitment to providing exceptional meals and creating memorable dining experiences for our residents truly shines every day.

The celebration continued in the afternoon with our All-American Social, where families joined us for an afternoon of fellowship, laughter, and delicious hot dogs and sliders. Residents, family members, and staff gathered to enjoy each other's company and capture special moments with photos that will serve as cherished reminders of a wonderful day spent celebrating our freedom and community.
We are grateful for the opportunity to honor our veterans, celebrate our nation's independence, and create meaningful memories with residents and their loved ones. It was truly a day filled with pride, gratitude, laughter, and community spirit.

🌿💜 Purple Promise Walk 💜🌿

Today, our team came together for our Purple Promise Walk in support of the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. Everyone walked around the building before gathering at the pergola, where we celebrated our shared commitment to raising awareness and supporting this important cause. 💜

After the walk, everyone enjoyed delicious cake pops and watermelon, and congratulations go out to Betty, the winner of our drawing! 🎉🍉

It was inspiring to see so much compassion and support from everyone who participated. Together, we honor those affected by Alzheimer’s and remain hopeful as researchers continue working toward a cure. Every step we take helps raise awareness and brings us closer to a future without this disease. ✨

🍎🥧 Chef’s Demo Spotlight! 🥧🍎

Today, Chef Brent treated us to something truly special: a delicious homemade apple turnover made completely from scratch! From the flaky, golden pastry to the perfectly spiced apple filling, every bite was a wonderful showcase of his talent and dedication in the kitchen. 👨‍🍳✨

Our residents loved watching the process during the chef’s demo and, of course, sampling the finished masterpiece. There’s nothing quite like the aroma of fresh-baked pastries filling the room! ❤️

A big thank you to Chef Brent for sharing his culinary skills and creating such a sweet experience for everyone.
