We Need Volunteers! 💙

Andalusia Health is currently looking for volunteers to help welcome patients and visitors throughout our hospital.

Whether you’re retired, looking to give back, or simply want to make a difference in someone’s day, volunteering is a great way to serve our community. Even a smile, helping someone find their way, or assisting with check-in can make a big impact.

Flexible weekday hours are available.

If you’re interested in volunteering or would like more information, give us a call at 334-428-7015.

Please help us spread the word by sharing this post!

After attending our Better Sleep Month presentation with Dr. Geoffrey Lipscomb, one thing became clear: sleep affects far more than just how tired we feel.

From learning how sleep studies work to understanding the impact of untreated sleep disorders, attendees walked away with valuable information about improving their health through better sleep.

In fact, some of us may have left wondering whether we should schedule a sleep study ourselves!

Thank you to everyone who attended and to Dr. Lipscomb for helping educate our community on the importance of sleep health.

Because better sleep can lead to better health.

That’s why we’re here.

This National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week, we’re honoring the real-life heroes who bring patients to our doors every day. Our EMS partners respond with speed, skill, and compassion — often in the most critical moments — giving patients the best possible chance of recovery. We are grateful for the dedication and partnership they show our community every single day.

For 13 years, Mr. Bob has been a familiar smile and friendly face at Andalusia Health. Whether he was helping patients find their way, lending a hand wherever needed, or greeting everyone with one of his funny remarks, he made a lasting impact on so many people who walked through our doors.

Recently, we celebrated Mr. Bob on his last day as a volunteer, and while we will certainly miss seeing him around the hospital, we are incredibly grateful for the kindness, compassion, and joy he shared with our patients, visitors, and staff over the years.

Thank you, Mr. Bob, for 13 years of service, laughter, and heart. Your presence made a difference every single day, and you will always be part of the Andalusia Health family. 💙

As we celebrate Mr. Bob’s legacy, we are also looking for new volunteers to help continue that same spirit of care and connection.
