I’ve been trying to find a way to use IG more, but I’ll admit I’ve been unwilling to put in the effort to craft the messages that I want to share and put them in an accessible format on both IG and Twitter. So my compromise will be that I will just take a screenshot of messages that I feel need to be amplified and share them on my IG with descriptions on them to make them accessible.

We can not play surprised when Phase 1a is 70% white , Phase 1b (65+ yo) are 77% white , 70% of pharmacies are in white neighborhoods, Black/Brown communities are 2x less likely to have hospital, Registrations require WiFi. .” This was added to a tweet she quoted by Dr. Tom Frieden that said “It’s unacceptable that Black Americans are getting vaccinated at about half the rate of White Americans even though they have 2-3 times the death rate.”
(Ps. I’m open to advice as to how I can make these more accessible, while I want to make sure messages are amplified, if I’m not being accessible to and inclusive of everyone, especially the disability community, then I’m missing the mark and must do better.)
