Full Circle 🐴
Thirty-six years ago, I picked up a book by Linda Tellington-Jones and had my first introduction to the Feldenkrais Method.
Years later, I was fortunate to meet Mary Debono Debono Moves and dive into her work applying Feldenkrais principles to horses. I became one of her certified practitioners, and it changed how I saw movement, and function — for our equine partners. Instead of seeing the problems, she always saw the possibilities.
Today, that journey has come full circle: I graduated from a four-year training program to become a certified Feldenkrais Practitioner. It has been an incredible experience. I have a lot to say, but while my heart is full my mind is tired.
There’s a line often attributed to T.S. Eliot about how the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time. That’s exactly how this feels — I’m back where it all began, but seeing it with completely new eyes.
I am so excited to now offer Functional Integration lessons for both riders and their horses — helping the whole partnership move, feel, and perform better.
To celebrate, I’ll be offering specials on sessions through the end of the year, and I have a ton of ideas for the future. But for now I'm going to take a couple days to rest and relax, and celebrate my 30 year wedding anniversary with my amazing husband. 🎉❤️
