Sponsor Meals for First Responders and Donate to Food Banks
Americans are strong and resilient people, and in the face of difficult circumstances, we pull together to help our community. On March 13 our nation declared the COVID-19 pandemic a national emergency. Many citizens have been thrust into unemployment and difficult financial circumstances. At the same time, our First Responders continue to serve their communities in the face of COVID exposure, often endangering their own lives. Like our First Responders support us, we are asking you to support your community through sponsorship of meals and food bank donations.
Our organization plans to provide weekly meals to First Responders in the community. We are seeking sponsors to support our mission through monetary donations that will be used to purchase meals from area restaurants for delivery to a central location (FedEx Fields) or specific First Responder locations. If we receive enough sponsors, we will expand our efforts to also provide meals to First Responders in surrounding counties. If you prefer, you can designate First Responder locations, such as a specific hospital or EMS station, to receive your sponsorship and we will inform them that your company provided the benevolent meal.. Not only will your donation support our community of First Responders, but you will also be providing much-needed business to area restaurants.
In addition, to First Responder meals, we are seeking donations to food banks to support members of the community that need extra help during this difficult time. If you are interested in pledging support for area food banks, we will send you the website of the food bank in your area where you can make a donation; and we will follow up with the food bank to ensure their needs have been met and you receive a 501c receipt.
Service is not just a career but so often a calling for our First Responders. Let’s do our part to show appreciation and support for the service of our public health and safety providers and ensure that every Physicians, Nurses, Medical Assistant, Lab Technicians EMT, Paramedic, Firefighter, Police Officer, Correctional Officer and other essential workers have an opportunity to enjoy a meal from their appreciative community. Additionally, please consider a donation to area food banks to ensure that every citizen in our community that needs help feeding their family has access to assistance.
