There's a difference between someone who's skilled at what they do and someone who understands what you're going through.
This person came in after a serious injury. Terrified. Not just about the care, but about whether this would even help. Whether it was safe.
I didn't just adjust them. I eased them through every step. Stayed calm so they could be calm. Made them feel heard and safe when they were vulnerable.
And then something shifted. That weight they'd been carrying, physically and mentally, started to lift. Like finally taking off a backpack you didn't even realize how heavy it was.
That's the person I want to be for people. Both the professional who knows his craft and the person who genuinely cares that you feel better.
Recovery isn't just physical. It's also about feeling safe enough to heal.
Have you ever had someone show up for you in a way that changed everything about how you approached something scary?
