Keeping children safe and families supported takes ongoing work, and September brought plenty of opportunities! We presented at the Texas Alliance for Children conference, where our candy bar invited attendees to “Come for the Candy. Stay for the Conversation.” We encouraged conversations about foster care in Aledo and in Parker County with OCOK, while our Children’s Mental and Behavioral Health (CMBH) team connected with attendees at the ABIDE conference. We also explored community initiatives with Youth Villages, spoke with Denton CASA about helping prevent children from entering foster care through Texas Families First, and enjoyed a day of outdoor fun and connection at Hope Ranch with our CKFS family. 💜
