I’m excited to announce that my practice has a new name! After years of focusing on the "root causes" of speech and airway struggles, ChitChat Therapies is officially Willow Speech & Myo.

Feeding difficulties can help therapists identify kids who are at a higher risk for developmental delays.

Since feeding and sensory skills go hand-in-hand, I wonder how many of these toddlers present (or will present) with sensory processing differences?

Children who experienced feeding problems were more likely to miss a developmental milestone.

Exciting news: I'm offering two online seminars through The eHealth Summit for Pediatric Therapists! Dozens of pediatric therapists from the US, UK, Australia, and New Zealand have collaborated to provide seminars about a variety of pediatric telehealth topics.

I'm participating in a multidisciplinary panel discussion about early intervention and telehealth. This talk is a great opportunity to learn from other disciplines and how we all are providing effective and fun therapies online.

I'm also offering an "Orofacial Myology & Telehealth" presentation. This presentation is geared to healthcare professionals who are new to orofacial myology. I'll cover the basics of assessment and treatment, and how to adapt “myo therapy” into the telehealth format.

I've been contacting all of my families, but also wanted to post on FB that ChitChat Therapies' office will be closed until 3/27. At that point, I will see what our situation is and what the local school districts are doing. I see anywhere from 20-30 families per week in my office and to me, it's not worth the risk to anyone's health in order to keep my doors open. During the next two weeks, I will be providing therapy online (telepractice). I have years of experience in working with families and children of all ages using this method. I hope you all stay safe and healthy, and let's work together these difficult and challenging times.
