🦁 The "Mane" Announcement
Friends of Wild Haven,
Where do I even begin? I can’t believe it’s been nearly 10 days since the last day of the first annual YF ReUnion Retreat -(a collaborative “build your own event” style offering).
I’m STILL soaking it all in as I attempt to get “back to life, back to reality” (song playing in my head on repeat).
I invite you to grab your favorite drink and snack and settle into your favorite chair for today's NuTRISHional Nuggets! It's SOul good to share!
There’s a lot to catch up on, preparing the mountain farm for a retreat in and of itself is no small feat. We (my self and the retreaters) are so thankful for the helpers who prepared safe spaces amidst the wilderness! Thanks to my hubby, my Diddy, my Mama, and the BMF ranch hands. As well as, my co-leader, Julie, for months of preparation and coming in a day early to finalize the finishing touches for the retreat amenities, facilities, and resources. The place has never looked and felt better!
Our very first Wild Haven Sanctuary FULL capacity retreat is officially in the books ...
And it was more than fully booked!
Not mostly full.
Not almost full.
Overflowing full.
What a beautiful testimony to God's faithfulness to stretch us, grow us, and send the people who serve whole-heartedly AND who need to BE served what we have to offer ... not silver or gold, but His hope and healing in His good good nature.
I could stop there and that would be enough. But ... there's more!
Over the 4 day retreat, burdens were released, tears were shed, laughter echoed through the mountains, and hearts encountered hope, healing, and renewal. We watched strangers become friends, survivors discover they were not alone, and weary souls begin to remember what thriving feels like.
Lives were changed. The Healer was evident! And so was the healing 💔❤️🩹 💗
Not because of anything we could produce or manufacture, but because God met people exactly where they were when they simply showed up — in both the wilderness and their personal wilderMesses.
As we celebrate what He has done, we are also listening for what He is doing...
And friends, the need for whole-person, whole-body care is growing.
The requests for more nature + movement + nourishment (not just food) in supportive community are growing.
The opportunities to serve 1:1 and small groups are growing.
I sincerely believe Wild Haven Sanctuary is about to be entering a new stretching and growing season these next 3 years.
While retreats remain a vital tool to carry out our mission, we are increasingly focused on raising support so more people can experience healing regardless of their financial circumstances while helping them create thriving LIFEstyles, which means consistently showing up to do REAL life - better together - and keeping the main thing the Mane thing - 🦁 Even if we're not saying it out-loud, we are BEing the hands, feet, hearts, and minds of Christ.
Pay It Forward
One of the clearest lessons from this retreat was this:
Many of those who need healing most simply cannot fully afford experiences like these, even less so as we envision growing; offering more lodging options, more daily offerings, expanding experiences, and length of stays.
Our vision for a full retreat sponsorship at this time is approximately $1,100 per person (which includes all supplies, meals, lodging, holistic health professionals on site, and amenities) for 4 days and 3 nights. $1,100 x 12ppl = $13,200 total per full retreat -so let’s say $14,000/full retreat to GROW! That’s what it’s going to take to sustain growing retreats and providing much needed support after and between retreats. Trust me, in the post surveys, most asked for additional days, they wanted at least 7 days (it takes typically 3 days just to unwind the mind per the neuroscience).
Would you partner with us?
🏡🏕️Maybe gather some friends and family to sponsor a full retreat by giving $14,000?
🤗🤗Or maybe your family can give $1,100 or more to sponsor an individual.
💜Or maybe you can commit to $25 per month to sustain our commitment to grow with strong foundations. Sustainability is important to continuing the work we’re already doing!!
As Wild Haven grows and partners with holistic health professionals, we are believing for a future where partial scholarships and full sponsorships become the norm rather than the exception and that several of our online and in-person services are accessible DAILY. Rest assured we will continue to encourage participants to financially contribute to their own healing as well, therein, learning to see their own inherent value and worth to invest in themselves, too.
Imagine helping someone experience a life-changing restoration journey because you chose to invest in their long-term healing that impacts generations upon generations!
Every gift becomes a seed of hope planted in someone else's story.
And every seed has greater potential to flourish, to bear more fruit and share more seeds, when it is nourished well - consistently.
Together, we can help ensure finances never become a barrier to healing.
Thank You
Thank you for being on this wild ride with us.
Thank you for praying.
Thank you for encouraging.
Thank you for believing.
Thank you for giving.
Thank you for helping hold our arms up when the valleys feel deep, the mountains feel steep, and the battles wage on—even as we know Who wins the war. Hallelujah!
Thank you for reminding us to keep our hands open instead of gripping the safety bar with white knuckles.
For many of you, thank you for showing up!
God is moving.
The story is still being written.
And we are grateful beyond words that you are part of it.
May you each experience His Hope and Healing as He makes The Way where there seems no way, Amen and Amen
With warmest blessings,
