Coming to terms with, and learning to love, your intensity is the self-same process as coming to terms with, and learning to love, your humanity.

Don't leave anything out. Seek it all, make space to welcome it all, learn to love the full experience - even when it is sometimes dissonant, painful or full of mystery and unknowns.

Loving is a lens that gives everything value. That includes everything related to your unusual, outlier mind and the particular flavor of intense life experience it brings.

Valuing leads to caring. Caring means that you take the time to understand what your intensity is asking from you; that you learn holistic full-humanity self-care.

When adequately loved and nourished, your intensity can become a relational bridge between your inner and outer worlds - the very thing that helps you to know for certain that your self's signature belongs to the resonant whole.

A friend sent this to me today. I hope posting it makes you think about each “home” you have in your life.

Tis the season to find more love for ourselves and our neighbors! My intention this month is to let my heart stretch a little wider—and for each breath to be just a little bit longer, a little bit deeper than before—and my acknowledgement of those around me to be more benevolent and helpful than it was yesterday.
