Our elderflowers making seed balls with Renee ❤️🌱 They will he able to take them home to dispurse in their yard, or throw in a pot to watch flowers grow!

Seed balls are small clumps of soil, compost, and seeds used to easily establish plants in barren or hard-to-reach areas. Toss or drop them onto bare soil in early autumn or spring; rain will dissolve the clay, allowing the compost to nourish the emerging sprouts.

Dr. Keehn is the founder of Engaging Dementia Effectively and brings more than 35 years of experience as a physical therapist serving communities in Western North Carolina and Florida. She is passionate about helping families, caregivers, and professionals better understand the brain changes associated with dementia while sharing practical strategies for improving everyday interactions with those living with dementia.

Whether you're caring for a loved one, working in healthcare, or simply interested in learning more, this presentation offers valuable insight, education, and support.

Our first Garden Work Day in July is THIS Wednesday from 5:30 - 7:30!! We will be planting, pulling weeds, and putting down mulch. We hope to see you there!! 🌱🌸

At Elderflower Community, we’re dedicated to enhancing our participants’ well-being through activities such as sound healing, led by the wonderful Conrad and Sheri (shown in picture 2). Our seniors can take time to stretch, breathe, and relax during these sessions.

Sound healing fosters holistic mental and cognitive health by creating soothing vibrational frequencies with singing bowls, wind chimes, ocean drums, and gongs.

The first Garden Work Day was a success! We spent the morning expanding the garden beds and pulling up stubborn weeds. Thank you so much to everyone who came to help, and we look forward to the next one on June 17th at 9 AM 🌱🌸

Last week, our participants had the pleasure of a visit from the best boy, Truman! He is a therapy dog that is part of the Alliance for Therapy Dogs. Therapy animals help reduce stress and anxiety and provide a sense of social connection, and it was a delight to see Truman bring joy to the Elferflower Community.
