I'm so proud and honored to be part of the American Society of Oculofacial Plastic Surgery. We just celebrated 50 years of excellence in education and training. Our meeting in San Francisco was a great opportunity to connect with my colleagues. I'm in awe is those who have developed our subspecialty and I'm so thankful to those who have formed me as a physician and surgeon. Next year I hope to contribute a couple of excellent talks on both functional and cosmetic advancements I have recently incorporated into my practice. Stay tuned!

Had fun honing my surgical skills, or... ahem, at least checking out my steady hand after a glass of wine... on a life sized game of "Operation" at a fundraiser party for KidTime in Medford. I think this game has inspired lots of children, myself included, to wonder if their future lies in healthcare. You're all probably relieved to know this is NOT how I practiced and learned the finesse required for fine eyelid surgery. No, the mastery of my craft has been built slowly, with each and every patient teaching me something, over 15 years in the OR and some 5,000+ cases.
