Caregivers joined Florence Nightingale's birthday party last week as we celebrated Nurses Week. At the party, guests could take a photo with Flo along with the number of years they have been a nurse.

A shared sense of purpose brought the community together on Saturday, May 2, with Giving for Good Gala attendees raising $338,000 in support of the BuildCMH Expansion Project.

“Every conversation, every bid and every gift reflected a collective commitment to something bigger than any one of us,” says Erik Thorsen, CMH CEO. “Because of your generosity, we are closer than ever to bringing this vision to life.”

Last week, caregivers and patients were delighted to see CMH's own Cat in the Hat (aka Chris Laman, VP of Strategy) spreading cheer!

Chris won the CMH Foundation's Admin Dress-Up Day Competition, where caregivers donated for an admin member of their choice to dress up as a Dr. Seuss character. The competition's proceeds went to the CMH Friendship Fund, which supports caregivers and their families during crises. A total of $13,412 was raised for the fund in March!

Thanks, Chris, for bringing some Suessical spirit to CMH! And thank you to all who donated to support the Friendship Fund.

Thank you to our Community Sponsors for supporting the CMH: Giving for Good Gala last weekend. All the funds raised from this year’s Gala went toward the BuildCMH Expansion Project, which will be triple the size of CMH’s current facility.

The Giving for Good Gala on May 2 was a huge success, raising more than $300,000 for the BuildCMH capital campaign.

As in previous years, we were blessed with vendors and local businesses who donated goods and services, with event sponsors that underwrote a portion of the costs, and with a generous community that raised their bidder cards time and again to support our efforts.

Thank you to all who attended or assisted with the CMH Giving for Good Gala. We couldn’t do it without you.
