Welcome,
As I sit down to write September's Soul & Psyche, I've been thinking a lot about the world, both the one around us and the one within us......
These past weeks have held so much collectively. We've witnessed heartbreaking loss and devastation around the globe, from flooding in Nepal and the Grand Canyon to the passing of several familiar public figures.
The passing of Dolly Parton especially stayed with me. There was something about the way she moved through the world, with humor, faith, generosity, talent, and an open heart, that seemed to reach beyond age, race, gender, politics, and belief. She was unmistakably herself, never afraid to laugh at herself, and seemed genuinely devoted to using her gifts to bring a little more joy into the world.
Perhaps that's why, when I struggled to choose September's Major Arcana card, I finally stopped trying.
I cleared the deck and asked Spirit, my angels, and guides to offer the message that might serve our highest good right now.
I pulled The World.
It felt beautifully synchronistic.
September Card of the MonthđThe World
The Major Arcana is often described as The Fool's Journeyâa symbolic evolution of the soul beginning with The Fool at zero and moving through twenty-one archetypal experiences before arriving at The World.
But I don't experience The World simply as the end.
I see it as the moment we step back far enough to see the journey we've traveled and ask:
Who have I become? What have I learned? What am I creating now, and does the life I'm creating reflect who I am becoming?
The World carries beautiful energy around completion, fulfillment, abundance, and ascension. It can appear when our inner growth begins to meet our outer reality. But it also asks us to remain conscious participants in that process, to integrate what we've learned rather than simply move on to the next thing.
And perhaps that's an especially meaningful invitation right now.
Our world continues to remind us how interconnected we truly are. We witness loss in places we've never been and feel it. We grieve people we've never met. We watch Mother Earth change and respond. One person's gifts can ripple outward and touch millions.
Our inner worlds and our shared world are not as separate as they sometimes seem.
Perhaps spiritual evolution isn't only about becoming more awakened within ourselves. Perhaps it is also about how that awakening changes the way we love, care, create, include, protect, and serve while we're here.
And for me, The World brings that back to faith.
Not faith reserved for moments of loss, uncertainty, or desperation, but faith as an ongoing relationship, something tended through celebration and sorrow, beginnings and endings, clarity and mystery.
We don't have to understand the entire journey to trust that we're still part of it.
A Reflection to Sit With This Month:
As I honor where I've been and who I've become, what am I ready to consciously create next, and does it feel aligned with the life I truly want to live?
A Little Synchronicity â¨
This month also marks the return of my Sister Circle after more than a year away, and I couldn't help but smile when The World appeared.
Without giving away what we'll be exploring together, our gathering has been created around many of these same questions, honoring where we've been, acknowledging what has challenged and changed us, noticing where we are now, and reconnecting with what we want to consciously create from here.
I had planned our circle before pulling The World.
Spirit has a beautiful sense of timing.
For those joining me this month, I'm so looking forward to gathering again. And if you weren't able to join this one, there will be another opportunity coming soon to step into this sacred space of connection, reflection, and a little divine synchronicity.
An Invitation for September:
Sometime this month, step outside.
Put your feet on the earth. Look at the sky. Watch the moon. Sit beside water. Notice the people around you.
And remember:
You are not separate from this world. You belong to it.
How you tend your inner world matters.
How you move through the outer one does too.
May you honor all that has brought you here, trust what is ready to unfold next, and remember that as you tend the world within you, you help shape the world around you.
Love,
TiffanyđŚ
