Good read on how to better support incarcerated moms in reunification

MBB is proud to share our seventh published research collaboration, a qualitative study of 27 mothers in Georgia and Pennsylvania who gave birth during incarceration.

The research examines how these mothers worked to stay connected with their infants and the barriers that stood in their way. Restrictive policies, technology failures, and high communication costs made bonding incredibly difficult, yet mothers persisted anyway. Many still came home to babies who didn't know them, facing grief and a long road to reunification.

These mothers deserve better, and we're committed to ensuring their stories lead to real change. 🩷
