What a special evening at Lightway! 💙

On Friday, our ladies enjoyed a wonderful slumber party filled with music, laughter, fellowship, and sweet memories. We gathered around the fire, enjoyed delicious sundaes, and spent meaningful time reconnecting with some of our amazing alumni.

A special thank you to alumni Sheena for coordinating dinner from Cheeseburger Bobbies, and to our board member, Dr. Renee H., for arranging an incredible night of music with Zack and Perry, both of whom are also walking in recovery. Their talents and stories were such an encouragement to everyone present.

We are so grateful for nights like these that remind us of the power of community, connection, and recovery. ❤️

On Wednesday, our Lightway women had the wonderful opportunity to spend time with the amazing individuals at The Marketplace, a nonprofit adult day program serving adults with disabilities.

The day was filled with laughter, connection, and fun as we played bingo, shared talents through a fun game, and enjoyed some time outside together. These moments remind us of the importance of community, kindness, and building meaningful relationships with those around us.

We are so grateful for opportunities like this to serve, connect, and love on our community. Thank you to The Marketplace for welcoming us and allowing us to be part of such a special day! 💙

Taking care of our own well-being is crucial before being able to effectively support those around us. Sharing from an empty or partially filled cup is not beneficial for anyone involved. Today, pick one or two things off the list below and invest in yourself. We are going to do the same. Then, there will be something in our cups to share with someone else when they need us.

Recently, our Lightway ladies took time to get outside, enjoy a hike, and explore the beauty around them. These moments remind us that healing happens not only within ourselves, but also through connecting with the world around us. Fresh air, meaningful conversations, new experiences, and the simple joy of being present all play a part in building a healthy, fulfilling life in recovery.

We are grateful for opportunities like these that allow our residents to grow, explore, and create positive memories along their journey. One step at a time, they are finding freedom, purpose, and connection. 🌿🥾

Last Wednesday, Lightway Recovery and Navigate Recovery had the honor of attending Northside Hospital's Connecting for a Healthy Gwinnett Symposium. The day was filled with meaningful conversations focused on strengthening community collaborations, improving access to healthcare, and identifying prevention efforts needed to better serve our community.

We are grateful to Northside Hospital for bringing together organizations, leaders, and advocates who share a common goal of creating a healthier and stronger Gwinnett. Together, we can make a lasting impact through partnership, prevention, and support. Thank you for investing in our community and fostering these important conversations!
