One thing I’m learning about fitness is you have to know what goals you desire for yourself & not be moved by how that looks for everyone else
- this time fitness is more about discipline, building courage and loving my body through building strength, stretching, toning and valuing every part of it.
Although I love to feel good & look good in clothes, this time that’s not the forerunner for this lifestyle, it’s a reward of it.
Last time I lost all the weight, did all the cardio and still didn’t feel my best although I looked it. Taking a step back and allowing God to show me the root of what I was doing needed to shift.
-I was consistent
-I was disciplined
-I ate right
Simply out of habit and not dedication or focus. Looking the part and not actually being it.
This go round I have moments of relief when my muscles are responding and a pain I once had in one place is now gone because I allowed it to recover after training or took the time to learn about nutrition rather than eating some random trainers recipe about something I wouldn’t otherwise have in my kitchen lol.
Partner with God, he will show you things beyond the knowledge you think you can find for yourself.
