It’s one of our favorite times of the year! 💗

Every October, Compass Physical Therapy chooses a nonprofit to support through our annual fundraiser. This year, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re raising funds for the Atlanta Cancer Care Foundation.

And this year, 100% of proceeds will go directly to the cause — and Compass Physical Therapy will MATCH 100% of what our community raises. 💗

💗 Fundraiser shirts are $20 and available for preorder at each of our Compass Physical Therapy clinics. Shirts can be purchased with cash or card.

Want to give without purchasing a shirt? There are a few ways to donate:

👉🏻 Donate in person at any Compass clinic by cash or card
👉🏻 Donate through PayPal if you’ve already graduated from physical therapy and still want to contribute (the link will be in our bio)

We’re incredibly thankful for a community that continues to show up for causes that matter. When we come together with a common mission, we can make a greater impact. 💗

Help us support the Atlanta Cancer Care Foundation this October!

Meet Jessica! 👋🏼

Funny enough, Jessica’s career in PT started with an ACL tear. As a high school basketball player, she loved her time with her PT so much that she left thinking, “I could actually see myself doing this.” And the rest is history.

After earning her degree in Athletic Training from Georgia College & State University and working with local middle and high school teams, Jessica went on to earn her DPT from Brenau University in 2019.

These days, she loves helping people move and feel better through orthopedic rehab, dry needling, hands-on care, and exercises that actually fit their lives. She has a particular soft spot for her older patients and helping them stay strong, independent, and able to keep doing the things they love.

And when you ask Jessica what makes Compass special, her answer comes back to the people. She loves that patients aren’t just treated and sent on their way—they’re known, cared for, encouraged, and welcomed like family.

Jessica wears many hats—as a wife, a mom, and a physical therapist—but whatever hat she is wearing, caring for people is at the forefront of who she is.

Come meet Jessica at our Bethlehem Clinic!

Not all pain advice is equal.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer to pain.

Stretching, resting, strengthening, and movement can all have a place but the right approach depends on why you’re experiencing pain and what your body actually needs.

The goal isn’t just to make the pain go away. It’s to understand what your body needs, why it needs it, and how to build back your capacity.

That’s where physical therapy comes in.

Fall is here 🍂 Which, more importantly, means FALL SPORTS are here.

And honestly? One of our favorite seasons at Compass Physical Therapy. Because we love helping our athletes head into their season with the tools, strength, and strategies they need to perform well, stay healthy, and recover well throughout the season.

A few things we’re focusing on with our athletes:
🏃‍♀️ Ankle stability + mobility
💪 Hamstring strength
🔥 Core strength

And don’t forget about hydration. It’s not just a game-day thing. Staying hydrated throughout the WEEK leading up to practices, games, and training can make a difference in how your athlete feels and performs.

If you have questions about your athlete’s strength, mobility, recovery, or injury prevention, give one of our offices a call. We’d love to help your athlete have their best season yet.

Not every injury needs a “best exercises for ___” search. 😂

Physical therapy is about more than finding an exercise that looks right. It’s understanding why something hurts, what your body needs, and how to safely build back strength, mobility, and confidence.

The goal isn’t just to feel better today. It’s to get back to doing what you love without constantly wondering if you’re making it worse.

Low back pain is one of the more common reasons we see patients in our clinics—and while it can be frustrating, there are a few simple things that can help support your back at home.

Tyler talks about a couple of recommendations that anyone can incorporate into their routine to help with low back pain and keep moving comfortably.

But if the pain isn’t going away, keeps coming back, or is starting to interfere with everyday activities, don’t just push through it. Our physical therapists can help identify what may be contributing to the pain and create a plan to get you moving with more confidence.

Have questions about your low back pain? Give us a call at whichever Compass location is most convenient for you.

Let us lock in for a second 🤪😮‍💨

Just another day of doing what we love, with the people who make it way too easy to have fun at work. 😂💙

The vast majority of people have tried physical therapy before. And for those who haven’t, there are two things they’re ultimately looking for:

1. Someone who understands their injury or condition and has the knowledge to help them get better.
2. Someone who makes them feel valued as a person — not just another diagnosis on a chart.

At Compass Physical Therapy, both are at the forefront of what we value as a business and as clinicians.

Because while the injury may be the reason someone walks through our doors, it’s never the whole story.

There’s a person behind the pain. A life outside the clinic. Goals they want to get back to. Things they want to do, people they want to keep up with, and confidence they want to regain.

When we treat the whole person — not just the injury — we’re not simply helping someone move better.

We’re helping them get back to living fully.

That’s what physical therapy means to us.

At Compass Physical Therapy, we take pride in serving the whole person — injury and all. 💙

Our goal is to get you back to living your life as quickly as possible.

But if we’re being honest… we’re not exactly upset when that means seeing you 3x a week for another 4 weeks. 😂
