May is Mental Health Awareness Month. We'd love to talk less about awareness and more about access. Therapy works. Getting to it is the hard part.

This month we'll share posts that normalize what therapy actually looks like, introduce a few of our clinicians, and offer resources for the moments when you or someone you love is trying to figure out a next step.

The discovery of an affair doesn't end the moment it's out in the open. For a lot of couples, that's when the hardest work actually starts. The old patterns can't hold anymore, and what used to feel like normal daily life — texting, checking in, being apart for work — suddenly feels like a question with stakes. The confusion and hyper-vigilance don't subside on their own.

One of the first things that helps is structure. Not a rulebook. Actual, specific boundaries that create enough safety to figure out what's next without sending either person further into it.

This blog walks through practical, therapist-backed boundaries after infidelity — what to ask for, what to offer, and what gives both partners a chance to breathe while the real work of repair gets underway.

Meet the team:

Nichole Michelson
Buckhead

Specializations: Stress, Anxiety, Perfectionism, Career, Leadership, Corporate Coaching

Nichole works at the intersection of therapy and coaching, which means she understands that high-achieving professionals and entrepreneurs often need more than one kind of support. The pressure to perform, the weight of perfectionism, the blur between who you are and what you do — she's spent her career sitting with people in the middle of all of it.

What makes Nichole distinctive is her ability to hold both worlds at once. Clinically trained and certified as a professional coach through the ICF, she brings a depth to her work that pure coaching often can't offer and a practicality that traditional therapy sometimes misses. She also partners with organizations on corporate wellness, so she understands firsthand the cultures her clients are trying to survive — and sometimes trying to leave.

If you've built something impressive on the outside but feel like you're running on empty, Nichole gets it. She's not here to tell you to slow down. She's here to help you figure out what you actually want and whether the life you're building is one you want to live in.

Nichole sees clients at our Buckhead office.

You've probably seen the Enneagram floating around — in personality quizzes, on podcast episodes, maybe even in a conversation with a friend who suddenly had a lot of feelings about being a Four. It's easy to dismiss it as another trendy typing system, but there's something that keeps drawing people back to it.

Unlike frameworks that simply describe how you behave, the Enneagram gets at something deeper: why you do what you do, what you're afraid of, and what you're quietly longing for underneath your patterns. That's what makes it genuinely useful in therapy — not as a label to hide behind, but as a starting point for real self-understanding.

Our latest blog breaks down the nine types, what the Enneagram actually is, and how knowing your type can open up new ways of seeing yourself and the people you love.

Meet the team:

Salima Anuforo
Buckhead

Specializations: Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Life Transitions, Children, Teens

Before becoming a therapist, Salima spent years in the classroom as a teacher — which means she knows how to meet people where they are, especially young people. That background shows up in the way she works: patient, attuned, and genuinely curious about the person in front of her. She brings that same grounded presence whether she's sitting with a grieving child or a adult working through a major life shift.

Salima's work with Kate's Club, where she led grief groups for school-aged children, gave her a deep understanding of how loss lands differently at different ages — and how much it matters to have someone who takes that seriously. Her time at Manna Treatment added another layer, giving her real clinical experience with eating disorders and the complex emotions that often live underneath them.

She works with children, teens, and adults, and she has a particular gift for helping people who are carrying something heavy and aren't quite sure how to put it down. Whether you're in the middle of a transition that caught you off guard, struggling with anxiety that won't quit, or sitting with grief that feels impossible to explain — Salima is the kind of therapist who makes you feel less alone in it.

Salima sees clients at our Buckhead office.

You're finishing grad school. Somewhere between the last paper and the licensure paperwork, there's this quiet question: where do I want to start?

The first job shapes a lot — how you learn, who you learn from, what therapy starts to feel like for you. It's a big decision, and it's okay if you don't have it figured out yet.

We're hiring at GROW. If you're curious about what it's like here, we'd be glad to talk.

Email your resume and letter of intent to [email protected] and let's chat!

It's rarely about the dishes.

When couples say they keep having the same fight, what they usually mean is: we don't feel heard. We don't feel prioritized. We don't feel understood.

Most recurring arguments aren't about the surface issue. They're about the pattern underneath — and both partners trying to protect something. One pushes for connection. The other pulls back for safety. Both end up feeling alone.

The good news: patterns can change. And the couples who do best aren't the ones who never fight — they're the ones who get better at repair.

If you're tired of the same fight on repeat, our latest blog walks through exactly what's happening and what to try instead.

And if it feels bigger than a blog post can fix, our couples therapists are here — in Buckhead, Peachtree City, and Suwanee, and virtually throughout the U.S.
