One thing I wish we talked about more: preparing for birth isnโt just physical.
This picture was taken after my most recent HypnoBirthing classes, and it reminded me why I love this work so much. We spent time learning about birth, practicing relaxation, asking questions, building confidence, and creating space for partners to feel prepared too.
Because fear and anxiety can take up a LOT of room during pregnancy.
And while we canโt control every part of the birth experience, education can help replace some of that fear with understanding. Support can replace isolation. And having tools to regulate your nervous system can help you feel more grounded when things feel uncertain.
Thatโs one of the reasons I believe childbirth education is also part of caring for our mental and emotional wellness during pregnancy.
You deserve to walk into your birth feeling informed, supported, heard, and empowered โ whatever your birth ultimately looks like.
Birth preparation is mental preparation, too. ๐ค
