Meet Matti, a 14-year-old heart warrior living with transposition of the great arteries (TGA). While her heart journey began at birth, she has never let her diagnosis keep her from pursuing the things she loves most.

A dedicated athlete, Matti stays busy with both volleyball and ballet, bringing determination, strength, and heart to everything she does. She shows that having a congenital heart defect doesn't have to limit what you can achieve. Whether she's on the volleyball court or in the dance studio, she gives it her all and inspires others through her perseverance and positive attitude.

Each year for her birthday, Matti hosts a fundraiser benefiting Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, giving back to the hospital that has played such an important role in her journey. Her family is incredibly proud of the young woman she is becoming—a girl who loves deeply, supports those around her, and proves every day that heart warriors can accomplish amazing things. ❤️

Meet Rachel, a resilient heart warrior living with pulmonary atresia with ventricular septal defect (VSD), dextrocardia, and supraventricular tachycardia (SVT). Under the care of Dr. Porter and Dr. Whitehill, she has never let her diagnosis define her. Instead, she has spent her life proving that a heart condition doesn't have to stand in the way of chasing dreams and new adventures. 🩵

A recent high school graduate, Rachel is exploring what comes next. Whether it's science, theater, whitewater rafting, fashion, traveling, or learning new languages, she approaches every opportunity with determination and a desire to live life to the fullest.

Adopted at age five after spending her early years in foster care, Rachel's journey is one of strength and perseverance. Her family navigated their first major heart surgery together when she was 16, and through that experience found support and connection within the CHD community. Today, she continues to inspire those around her with her courage, independence, and adventurous spirit, and is already planning an exciting trip to celebrate her graduation! ❤️
