Most people with tonsil stones have been told the same thing: gargle with saltwater, use a water flosser, or just live with it.
Here's what they're usually not told: tonsil stones are a structural problem, not a hygiene problem. The pockets where they form — called crypts — will keep filling up regardless of how well you brush or rinse. That's why they keep coming back.
There's a minimally invasive, office-based procedure called Laser Tonsil Cryptolysis that re-contours the tonsil surface to address the structural cause. Average recovery is 3–5 days. No general anesthesia. No hospital stay.
I put together a plain-language guide covering how it works, who's a candidate, and what to expect. It's free — link in bio or download at https://dryoungan.framer.website
If you know anyone who's been struggling with tonsil stones and getting nowhere with their doctor, feel free to share!
