Diane Hilleary, LCSW

Diane Hilleary, LCSW Psychotherapist & Intuition Coach ✨
Supporting you to create a safe home inside yourself. Blending psychotherapy, spirituality, and neuroscience.

Let’s dance outside the lines! 💃🏻 With the right kind of support, meaningful change is possible. I know it takes a lot of courage to reach out for help and therefore I want to make sure you get what you need. With that in mind, I tailor my therapeutic approach to each individual and will work with you to develop goals for your therapy. My work is grounded in the belief that everyone deserves to be

heard and understood and understanding is the first step to change. I believe through supportive therapy, you can live differently and experience life in a more peaceful and fulfilling way. I specialize in providing individual and family therapy for adolescents and adults with eating disorders, addiction, self harm, anxiety, and depression. I am intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and enjoy its focus on mindfulness and connecting the dots between feelings, thoughts and actions. I am passionate about helping girls and women find their inner wisdom and strength, overcome self-hatred, shame and guilt, and learn how to speak up and get what they need.

A few years ago I read the book Mary Magdalene Revealed by Meggan Waterson and felt inspired to come visit the South of France where she came to live after the crucifixion. During my years as a Christian, the sacred feminine was sorely missing from my education and practice. Early in my career I was working at a psychiatric hospital on a women’s unit. Many women had experienced violence and abuse at the hands of men and yet they felt Jesus’s message to them was to be more self-sacrificing. I couldn’t reconcile that and so I explored other traditions. I love the subtitle of Mary Magdalene Revealed: “The First Apostle, Her Feminist Gospel, and the Christianity We Haven’t Tried Yet.” Mary’s Gospel was hidden for centuries and multiple copies were found in the late 1800s but even then it took decades for it to be published. Have you heard of Mary’s gospel? She writes about the importance of turning towards whatever arises within us with Love. This is exactly what I do with my clients through Mindful Self-Compassion and Internal Family Systems. My spiritual journey has taken me through explorations of Buddhism, Judaism, earth based spirituality and more. But I love seeing the words of my early Christian faith through new eyes. The work that fills me up the most is nurturing a community where we can explore practices to love ourselves and each other in radical ways. We all have old stories and conditioning that have led us to shrink or conform, and we deserve the kind of radical Love that supports us to follow our own inner alignment with freedom and joy! So that’s what I’m doing in France - finding delight in following my own inner path. If you’d like to learn more about the containers I offer click the link in my bio. Circle up is a six week container where we practice inner self-connection and radical love. And check out the “Be You” retreat on the Georgia coast this September where we will get to practice loving community together in person! It’s going to be so much fun!

I’ve been thinking a lot about Love. I have practiced Love as a partner, a daughter, a sibling, a parent, a therapist, a meditator, a friend. What does it look like to practice Love in our daily lives moment to moment? It can be easy to be overwhelmed by our tasks and our fears and Love is a choice we need to make again and again. Love can be healing and revolutionary. And we need a revolution. I’ve been thinking about the collective focus on Love from the 1960s and how we need to return to that 1967 Summer of Love energy. So I’d love to invite you to join me to root into the power of Love together and set an intention to spend time resting in the energy of Love that always surrounds us. We will do this through guided meditation and some IFS informed parts work. Over the last few years I’ve been leading meditation circles online where we tap in to a shared field and practice connecting to Love, now I’m excited to offer this experience in person in Savannah! Will be meeting monthly at Savannah Wellness Collective. If you can’t join us tomorrow, Wednesday, July 15, come join us on August 12, September 9, or October 15. You can register at the link in my bio or just show up and join us. We’ll gather at 6pm.

Lots of new things happening in my world! I’ve got a new office in Savannah and registration for my 3rd retreat just opened! More info to come on all this over the next few weeks. 🌴✨ My first retreat last year fell on the summer solstice in Savannah and we made affirmation cards for all the participants. I pulled a card for you in this video. Take a screenshot at the end to remind yourself to be gentle with you and your feelings! Happy summer solstice! You can learn more about the retreat at the link in my bio. And if you’re looking for therapy or intuitive coaching in Savannah, you can book a discovery call through that link as well.

At our last retreat, one participant asked for a fairy garden dinner…and the crew made it happen. Surrounded by wonderful food, laughter, moss & twinkling lights, we were reminded that when we gather with intention, joy & magic meet us at the table.

This November 6–9, we return again with the intention to rest, to reconnect, and tap in to inner child joy. Before the holiday rush, come home to yourself. Let your body ground, your heart open, and your spirit remember the frequency of light ☀️!

If you feel a “yes” in your body while reading this, trust it. The last group is still sending me their glimmers and gratitudes from the summer retreat!

Few spots remain for our next gathering Nov 6-9. If your heart’s been whispering for space, this is your invitation before the rush of the holidays!
