Melanoma is on the rise

In 2026, an estimated 234,680 cases will be diagnosed in the U.S. That’s a 10.6% increase from last year.

And while early detection is improving, melanoma is still deadly. An estimated 8,510 people are expected to die from melanoma this year. That includes about 5,500 men and 3,010 women.
