“There Are No Failures Only Different Degrees of Success”
One of the biggest mistakes we can make is minimizing the power of failure. We are taught as children not to fail and may have even been punished for it. It is always important that we are encouraged to do our best. As a matter of fact, don’t accept anything less. In doing our very best, we are destined to succeed. Striving for 100% is what we all should set as a goal. However, does it mean that if we only achieve 60%, we have invested or acquired nothing? Does it mean that we have failed?
ABSOLUTELY NOT! When we have shortcomings, it offers opportunity for us to assess what we have done and still need to do to acquire what we want in our lives. It allows us to build on and appreciate our knowledge even more because it didn’t come easy. It may have even hurt. Shortcomings encourage us not to take anything for granted. Theybuild character, encourage empathy, and birth experience that perhaps we never would have been afforded. So… know that there are no failures, only different degrees of success as anything less that 100% is a building block of achieving it! ~Twilynn M. Jourdain, LPC, NCC
