At Wellstar, caring for our community means showing up in meaningful ways beyond the walls of our hospitals. Recently, team members at Wellstar Health System came together to support a community initiative addressing period poverty, collecting more than 9,000 essential items across six departments to create 100 dignity packs for women in need.

These packs were donated to a local women’s shelter, helping provide essential supplies with compassion and dignity. Behind the effort were 16 dedicated volunteers who gave their time to thoughtfully prepare each pack, reflecting Wellstar’s ongoing commitment to supporting women’s health, removing barriers to care and strengthening the communities we serve.

Community, connection and a little friendly competition were all part of a great day at the Griffin Spalding Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament. Wellstar joined local leaders and organizations for an event focused on strengthening relationships and supporting the communities we serve every day.

From conversations at Wellstar’s tee activation to time spent on the course with community partners and local business leaders, the event was a great reminder that strong communities are built through collaboration, connection and showing up for one another.
