One of the hardest things about unresolved trauma is that it rarely stays in the past.
It quietly follows us into our relationships, our communication, our boundaries, and the way we respond to love.

Sometimes it looks like overthinking.
Sometimes it looks like emotional shutdown, fear of intimacy, hyper-independence, people-pleasing, or staying in relationships that do not feel emotionally safe.

I wrote Relationships After Trauma to help women better understand these patterns with compassion instead of shame.

Inside the ebook, I explore:
• trauma and the nervous system
• emotional triggers and attachment patterns
• relationship dynamics after trauma
• healing emotional safety within yourself
• my THRIVE Method™ for healing and regulation

Healing changes the way we love and the way we allow ourselves to be loved.

Many people are trying to build healthy love while carrying wounds they were never taught how to heal.

That is why I wrote Relationships After Trauma.

This ebook explores how trauma impacts the nervous system, emotional patterns, attachment, communication, and the relationships we choose and stay in. It is designed to help you heal with more awareness, compassion, and emotional safety.

If you are ready to stop surviving your relationships and start understanding them, you can purchase the ebook through the link in bio.

Some of us learned to celebrate crumbs because inconsistency felt familiar.
So we stayed longer, overexplained more, accepted less, and called it patience, loyalty, or understanding.

But healing changes what feels normal.

You stop feeling guilty for wanting softness.
You stop shrinking your needs to make other people comfortable.
You stop romanticizing survival.

Love should not leave you constantly anxious, confused, or emotionally starving.

You deserve relationships where care is expressed consistently, not occasionally.

Motherhood has never just been about nurturing others.
For many Black women, it has also meant surviving, carrying, protecting, providing, and showing up even when exhausted.

This Mother’s Day, I want to honor the women who continue to love deeply while doing the quiet work of healing themselves too.

The mothers.
The grandmothers.
The women who mother through presence, softness, wisdom, and care.

You deserve support too.
You deserve rest too.
You deserve softness too.

Happy Mother’s Day to the women holding generations together while learning how to hold themselves with the same compassion.

Healing as a woman is layered.
So much of what we carry was never spoken about, only expected of us.

The emotional load.
The survival patterns.
The pressure to keep showing up even when we are exhausted.

Real healing is not about becoming someone new. It’s about creating enough safety within yourself to finally release what you were never meant to carry alone.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

But this space was never just about awareness.

It’s for the ones doing the work quietly.
The ones learning to understand themselves in ways they were never taught.
The ones holding everything together… while trying to heal at the same time.

It’s for those breaking patterns.
unlearning survival habits,
and learning how to feel safe in their own bodies again.

This work isn’t always visible.
It isn’t always easy.

But it is real.

And if you’re in it,
This space is for you.

You don’t need to “fix” yourself to heal.
You need to start speaking to yourself differently.

A lot of us grew up learning to silence our needs, minimize our feelings, or carry things that were never ours.

Healing your inner child means unlearning that voice and replacing it with something safer, softer, and more honest.

If you’re ready to begin that work, I can support you as a trauma healing expert with practices that help you feel safe, reconnect with yourself, and heal from the inside out.
