May is Mental Health Awareness Month, which feels especially important in a time when so many people are carrying more than others realize. A lot of the people I work with are high-functioning, capable, and take care of those around them. They’re managing careers, relationships, caregiving, and constant demands while quietly feeling exhausted, disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns they can’t seem to shift.
From the outside, things may look “fine.”
Internally, it can feel very different.
Therapy isn’t only for moments of crisis. Sometimes it’s about having a space to slow down long enough to understand yourself more clearly, process what you’ve been carrying, and reconnect with parts of yourself that have been buried under stress, burnout, or survival mode for a long time.
At Awakening Serenity Counseling, I provide trauma-informed therapy for individuals and couples, with specialties including:
• Trauma and PTSD
• Burnout and stress
• Medical professionals
• Relationship challenges
• Chronic illness and chronic pain
• EMDR therapy
I offer in-person sessions in the Central Park neighborhood at Stanley Marketplace and telehealth appointments throughout Colorado.
If you’ve been considering therapy, Mental Health Awareness Month can be a meaningful time to start the conversation. When you’re ready to feel more grounded, connected, and like yourself again, you can learn more or schedule a free consultation at asc-denver.com.
