If you had asked me on December 10 2015 if I could ever put down the beer, put down the vodka I would have lied and said yes of course but never truly mean it. But the night of the 10th of December I had my las 20 beers and my last bottle of vodka and between death, hospital, or jail I got a trip to the hospital and the next day I started my new life.
It’s not been an easy decade. Life had plenty in store for me. Illness. Breakups. Loss. Death of a brother, grandma, aunt and uncle. Moving to a new country coming back and starting a new career from scratch. But wha I’ve learned the past 10 years is priceless and that’s I don’t need alcohol to get through any of it.
Life isn’t meant to be amazing every second of the day but life should be lived and felt and experienced. And today I get to do that and while doing that I get to say I’m 10 years sober.
A FREAKING DECADE without alcohol. How cool is that. And for those who helped me start stay continue you know who you are and huge thank you and huge thank you to my favorite group of sh****rs through thick and thin always. ❤️🙏❤️
