October is AAC Awareness Month!

AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) includes tools like picture boards, speech-generating devices, and communication apps that help people express themselves when speaking is difficult or not possible.

A few quick facts:
✨ AAC is for people of all ages, including children with autism, apraxia, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and more
✨ Research shows AAC does not prevent speech development. It can support it.
✨ Every person deserves a voice, and communication is a human right.

Many of our clients use AAC every day to share their wants, needs, thoughts, and personality. We're proud to support them and celebrate every message, whether it's spoken, signed, pointed to, or typed.

Communication looks different for everyone, and all of it counts. 💙
