Our goal is to help you become a confident practicing Yerberi (herbalist) — someone your family and community can turn to for support, guidance, and medicine. We believe every home should have someone who carries this knowledge.

Online only options available to those out of town. Payment plans and scholarships available let us know your needs in your application (link in bio)

As you learn, you’ll make medicine alongside experienced Yerberis (herbalists), with the intention of giving back. Some of what we create together will go to support mutual aid for organizations such as Casa de Resistencia, Herbalists Without Borders, & Birth Comadres. Our communities are in urgent need. Learning in service grounds your skills in purpose. It’s how we deepen our practice and create real, collective impact.

And if you’re called to go deeper — we’re here for that too. We will continue to develop and offer advanced teachings and courses to help you grow on your path.

AMAHerbSchool Open House!

Interested in AMAHerbSchool but are out of town?

Online AMAHerbSchool might be the right fit for you!

9-month Sembrando Semillas: Intro to Herbalism will start in September 2026 and end in May 2027. The online version of this course will only include online classes.

Office hours will be from 5:30PM to 6PM. Recordings of the online class will be available to all Yerberis 24 hours after class. AMAHerbSchool will provide materials.

With a focus on hands-on learning and practical skills, our curriculum encompasses a wide range of topics, including connecting to and respecting our land, folk herbal medicine making, and the indigenous medicine practices of the region that many of our ancestors practiced. We focus and emphasize our native plant allies. Taught by experience BIPOC herbalists for our BIPOC community.

Here’s another preview into what’s in store this fall…

After a successful 5-month pilot cohort, AMAHerbSchool is ready to offer our official, Sembrando Semillas: Intro to Herbalism, 9-month program.

Starting this September we will meet on Thursday Evening over Zoom- 2 times per month. Then, once a month we will meet in-person for some hands-on learning. Finally, in May we will close with a special celebration and project for our Yerberis.

Tuition: Payment plan options available
- New students: $1845, $205/month (Online & in-Person)
- Online only: $1,134, $126/month

Yes that’s exactly what it looks like…an aphrodisiac! 🌸
This past cohort we learned that she is a great ally in dream work. She is also an anti-oxidant and soothing to the nerves. As the Latin name suggests it has an affinity for womb bodies 😉

Blue butterfly pea flower,
Latin name—Clitoria ternatea.
Commonly known as Shankhupushpam (conch-shaped flower) and, in Ayurvedic medicine, as Aparajita. Originally from what is commonly referred to as the South East Asia region. Butterfly pea flower has been introduced to parts of Africa, Australia and the Americas.

No se agüiten con la agüita!

Quiauitl– Lluvia sagrada (rain): a life-giving force that can be equally destructive. The sacred rain is as unpredictable as the tides of life; it can be light and fertilizing or heavy and destructive. The rain can cleanse and cool the atmosphere, while also activating life. Much like mother Earth, we as humans go through a similar cleanse; our nervous system gets a chance to reset and regulate. The rain reminds us to take inventory and to let what does not serve us wash away. Nothing can flower without getting your roots wet first.

This would be a good day to start that new hobby you’ve been meaning to explore or visit that new place you drive by all the time. This is not the day to plan a business or work on permanent projects. Rely on the unpredictability of life.
