Our goal is to help you become a confident practicing Yerberi (herbalist) — someone your family and community can turn to for support, guidance, and medicine. We believe every home should have someone who carries this knowledge.
Online only options available to those out of town. Payment plans and scholarships available let us know your needs in your application (link in bio)
As you learn, you’ll make medicine alongside experienced Yerberis (herbalists), with the intention of giving back. Some of what we create together will go to support mutual aid for organizations such as Casa de Resistencia, Herbalists Without Borders, & Birth Comadres. Our communities are in urgent need. Learning in service grounds your skills in purpose. It’s how we deepen our practice and create real, collective impact.
And if you’re called to go deeper — we’re here for that too. We will continue to develop and offer advanced teachings and courses to help you grow on your path.
Akouatzin Medicina Ancestral Herbalism School’s mission is to provide a nurturing environment for BIPOC students to reconnect with their ancestral roots through the art and practice of Herbalism led by elder, Abuela Santa Akouatzin & other experienced BIPOC herbalists. With a focus and emphasis on our native plant allies.
Si te curas tu, me curo yo (if you heal, I heal)
