We brought the best of the Eastern States Exposition to our community for a day packed with fun, history, and sweet treats! We tested our skills and played a variety of classic fair games while jamming out to a playlist featuring some of this year’s incredible Big E performers!

Afterwards, we took time to learn about the rich history of the Big E, and explored the traditions of the iconic Avenue of States houses.

We finally wrapped up the day the best way possibly with a delicous tasting of fluffy maple cotton candy!

It was the perfect way to celebrate culture, community, and classic fair fun.

It's National Assisted Living Week, a time to celebrate the people who make assisted living communities vibrant.

This year’s theme, “Shining Through the Years,” puts the spotlight on residents: their individuality, accomplishments, interests and everything they continue to contribute today. But the idea behind the celebration extends well beyond one week.

At Benchmark, we take time to know each resident as an individual—what they enjoy, what matters to them and how they want to spend their days—while providing personalized support designed around their needs.

Read about how the week is coming to life across Benchmark communities through gatherings, resident-led conversations, culinary experiences, arts and cultural events, live entertainment and more: https://www.benchmarkseniorliving.com/blog/celebrating-national-assisted-living-week-2026-shining-through-the-years-at-benchmark-senior-living/
