Namaste Recovery

Namaste Recovery Namaste Recovery offers therapeutic yoga for recovery, trauma, and mental health. Private and group My name is Brianna Cummins, founder of Namaste Recovery.

I started Namaste because I have a passion for helping others recover from addiction and learn a new way of living. I am passionate about this because I have experienced the devastating effects of addiction in my own life, as well as the gift of recovery. Treatment, 12 Step Recovery, and Yoga are the pathways in which I have found a way out and began to live a life of purpose. I hope to guide othe

rs on their journey out of addiction and into a life of meaning and balance. Addiction is any behavior a person continues despite negative consequences. This includes compulsively using drugs, alcohol, people (relationships and s*x), money (gambling or shopping) or food. Every person’s experience with addiction is different and therefore must be addressed differently. Because of this, an individualized, holistic approach to recovery is imperative. Isolation, fear, low self-worth, disconnectedness, and lack of purpose are driving forces that keep a person stuck in the cycle of addiction. Addressing these issues can be challenging and that is why recovery is much more than just not using drugs. Namaste Recovery is founded upon the belief that self-discovery, connectedness, and renewed purpose in life are essential to recovery. Awakening to our potential and learning to recreate ourselves is necessary for this process to be successful. Facilitating these awakenings through recovery coaching, counseling, and yoga is the purpose of Namaste Recovery.

Today I celebrate 10 years of recovery!! This past year has been the most exciting, challenging, and fulfilling year in my recovery. We sold our home and have been traveling the country in an RV! My courage, trust, acceptance, strength, gratitude and surrender have deepened more than ever this year. We’ve been to places and done things I’ve always dreamed of! Thank you all who have been a part of my life and my recovery! 💗💗

Yoga is about clearing away whatever is in us that prevents our living in the most full and whole way. With yoga, we become aware of how and where we are restricted — in body, mind, and heart — and how gradually to open and release these blockages. As these blockages are cleared, our energy is freed. We start to feel more harmonious, more at one with ourselves. Our lives begin to flow — or we begin to flow more in our lives. — Cybele Tomlinson

We sold our house and everything in it 6 months ago to hit the road and travel full-time with our two boys! In addition to homeschooling, hiking, and sight-seeing, every week I teach virtual classes and create videos from the road. Sometimes I am blessed to do so from beautiful places like this! It is because of my own personal recovery that this life is possible. What is your wildest dream?

Self-sabatoge💥⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Many people in recovery struggle with self-sabotaging beliefs and patterns. This looks different for all of us but typically it can be recognized when you find yourself unable to be the person you want to be or accomplish/have the things you really want in life. Negative thinking, procrastination, and perfectionism are some ways this manifests. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Here is a practice to try if you think you may be struggling with self-sabotage:⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Come to a comfortable place⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Take 𝟓 slow deep belly breathes ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
𝐀𝐬𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟: ⁣⁣
Are my behaviors and thinking in line with my long-term goals?⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Continue deep breathing while you seek guidance in this area. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥: ⁣⁣
Write down what comes up for you. Try not to judge yourself and attach meaning to this right away. ✍️ ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
This practice is simply about creating awareness.
