10 years ago today, our 5 month old baby girl had skull surgery for a birth defect called Craniosynostosis. Her skull fused too soon, the surgery allowed room for her brain to grow. It was one of the scariest, most heart-wrenching moments of my life. I feared the worst and time seemed to stand still that day. Somehow it has flown by since then and here we are ten years later and she is doing amazing. Happy Cranioversary sweet girl! 💜💜

I don’t know where the time has gone! Our sweet girl is a whole decade old! It’s crazy to think that we are approaching the 10 year anniversary of her diagnosis and surgery.

Happy Cranioversary to our sweet girl! It’s hard to believe it’s been 9 years since that emotional day.

Alice’s first visit to the aquarium was about 2 weeks after her skull surgery. We went after she had her post op appointment with Dr Magge, July 2013. Nine years later, she finally got a chance to go again. I’m pretty sure the dolphins were her favorite 💕

It’s hard to believe it’s been 8 years since we handed this sweet girl over to a complete stranger for skull surgery. Watching them walk down the hall with our 5 month old baby girl and the fear that came over me that day is unexplainable. She showed us how tough she was at a young age. Then again this year with her eye surgery. She gives us that sweet smile and tries to be as brave as she can. She’s been through more than most 8 year olds but the average person would never know it. She has come so far and I’m so thankful she is doing so well. Happy Cranioversary Alice ❤️
