One of the reasons I love teaching at a HBCU, besides the rich legacy, is that I get to play part in changing the socioeconomic trajectory of first gen’s, single moms, and immigrants. It’s truly an honor.

You don’t have to move to a Blue Zone to start healing from burnout.

People in the world’s healthiest and longest-living communities share common habits that protect not only their bodies… but also their minds, emotions, and stress levels.

And honestly? Many high-achieving women are living the complete opposite.

Instead of rest → overworking.
Instead of community → isolation.
Instead of peace → constant pressure.
Instead of purpose-filled living → survival mode.

Blue Zone research shows that healthier lives are often connected to:
✨ Lower stress
✨ Strong relationships
✨ Faith and spirituality
✨ Rest and reflection
✨ Purpose and meaning
✨ Slower, intentional living
✨ Emotional connection and community

But many brilliant women have normalized:
• emotional exhaustion
• anxiety
• sleep deprivation
• over-functioning
• constantly “pushing through”

Just because you can function while overwhelmed doesn’t mean your soul is well.

During Mental Health Awareness Month, I want you to know:
Mental wellness is not weakness.
Rest is not laziness.
And healing is not selfish.

If you are tired of silently carrying stress, burnout, emotional fatigue, and pressure alone…

Join me for:

Who told you you needed permission to rest?

One of the most powerful shifts from Brilliant But Burnt Out wasn’t just awareness…

It was strategy.

Because once you name burnout—
you have to learn how to respond differently.

Together, we explored what healing can actually look like:
✨ Setting boundaries without guilt
✨ Understanding that rest is not just sleep
✨ Releasing the pressure to be everything to everyone
✨ Prioritizing your well-being as necessary—not negotiable

We talked about how burnout impacts:
your mind,
your body,
your emotions…
and your spirit.

And how true healing requires tending to all of it.

This wasn’t about doing less.
It was about doing life differently.

Whole. Rested. Aligned.

If you’ve been functioning… but not fully living—this work is for you.

Many of you wanted to be there but couldn’t…

You’re the strong one… so no one notices when you’re breaking.

Last night’s Brilliant But Burnt Out workshop created something many women don’t often experience…

A safe space to tell the truth.

Brilliant, high-achieving women—from academia, STEM, and communications- opened up about what they’ve been silently carrying:

The pressure to always perform
The weight of micro and macroaggressions

And what became clear is this:

Burnout isn’t a personal failure.
It’s often the result of prolonged exposure to pressure without relief.

When we completed the burnout reality check…
many realized what they had been pushing through:

They weren’t just tired.
They were depleted.

But instead of shame, something powerful filled the room…

Relief. Validation. Permission to exhale.

If this resonates with you, you’re not alone.
And you don’t have to keep carrying it in silence.

Many of you wanted to be there but couldn’t…

What will it cost you if you don’t attend?

More exhaustion?
More overwhelm?
More staying stuck in a cycle that keeps draining you?

Many high-achieving women look strong on the outside… while privately running on empty.

You keep showing up.
You keep pushing through.
You keep carrying what no one sees.

But burnout has a cost.
Your peace.
Your energy.
Your joy.
Your connection with yourself… and God.

I see you. And I created this space with you in mind. 🤍

**Brilliant but Burnt Out** is a safe virtual workshop for women who are ready for relief, renewal, and practical tools to protect their well-being.

What is the real cost of silently carrying stress and overwhelm?

You look strong on the outside…
But privately, you’re exhausted.

Burnout can sound like:
✨ “I’m tired all the time.”
✨ “I can’t shut my mind off.”
✨ “I feel guilty resting.”
✨ “I’m pouring into everyone else.”

That’s why I created Brilliant but Burnt Out Workshop — a safe virtual space for high-achieving women ready for relief.

🗓️ April 28 at 7 PM
🤍 Come receive the peace you’ve been praying for.
