For my maker and designer friends:
I am a true believer in good faith. I still am and always will be. All of us small shops (well the large majority) believe in the same thing — supporting each other, cross promoting and expanding our reach. Since the majority of our budgets are the smallest of the small, bartering is where it’s at. Create — exchange — cross promote. Unfortunately since usually no contracts take place, there is the chance of being taken advantage of. Very unlikely bc , but there’s still a slim chance they could take your design files and block you on all communication channels. 🤯💯
I can hear the “oh Lauren, so naive” in tune. I’m not. 👉 Good faith. The majority of us are moms, keeping our hustle together while the kids nap. Still, we have the same goal. Will I let this instance upset me? 🤔 Naw. Let’s just chalk this up for some good ‘ol logo concept practice.
