Day 35 of 90 – the Life+ trial update you’ve been waiting for !

Okay friends, buckle up — because this one is GOOD.
Whether you’ve been following along as Derrick and I progress on our 90-day trial of the new Life+ Liquid Collagen, or you are tuning in for the first time - stop the scroll and listen up - today I’m spilling all the tea.

The Derrick Report: This man is moving.

Three weeks in a row to the pool (This is a record. I’ve been trying to coax him into going back to the pool since last fall). He’s not using his oxygen. His lung doc gave him a

report at his visit last week. And perhaps most meaningful of all - his pain level has shifted from “debilitating, hard to move” down to “uncomfortable but tolerable.”
For a 70-year-old living with COPD and a spinal fusion? That is pretty spectacular.
(He’s also seeing the chiropractor, so I won’t give ALL the credit to the “magic juice”

— but I’m not NOT giving it credit either.)
The Monica Report: Energy is UP. Arthritis flare-ups? Nowhere to be found.

Friday I logged my first 5-mile run in a long time. Saturday - swimming + 3 hours of yard work. Sunday - more yard work. Three days, 45,170 steps, a couple of well-earned naps... and zero arthritis flare-up.
And the icing on the cake?

This morning Derrick touched my cheek and said, “Oh, it’s so soft.” I had just told him I thought my skin was looking more radiant. Apparently he agrees.

Now for the news that’s good AND a little bit frustrating:
Life+ has become such a hit that it is currently out of stock - 6 months of inventory, gone in 3 weeks.

Motherhood is such a beautiful circle of learning, loving, and becoming. 💛

This morning I found myself looking through old photos and getting a little emotional.

The first photo of my mom holding David brings back so many memories. My mom lived through a lot of hardship in her life, but the greatest gift she gave me was her example of clinging tightly to her faith through it all. She taught me, not so much with speeches, but by the way she lived, that our Catholic faith isn’t just something we practice on Sundays. It’s a compass. A way to live. A source of strength when life gets hard.

And then there’s that camping photo of David giving his little wave to the camera 😂👋
Honestly… maybe I got my signature wave from him and never even realized it. Funny how connected we are to our children in ways both big and small. We teach them, shape them, pass on traditions and values… and somehow they quietly shape us too.

Thinking about David preparing to serve the Church, I can’t help but think how incredibly proud my mom would be of the man he has become. Raising him in the faith obviously left an imprint on his heart. But what amazes me most in this season of life is that now I’m learning from him, through his insights, his devotion, and the way he is helping me deepen and live out my faith in a new way.

That may be one of the sweetest surprises of motherhood:
First, we learn from our mothers.
Then we pour what we’ve learned into our children.
And eventually, if we’re paying attention, we begin to learn from them, too.

Wishing all my mom friends a beautiful Mother’s Day. 💐
May you feel loved, appreciated, and deeply aware that the quiet ways you show up each day matter more than you know.
