I got to stand on the stage at the World Council for Health's Better Way Conference and say out loud what I've been thinking for years:
Midwifery is the Grandmother of every decentralized health system we're trying to build.
Long before hospital rooms, insurance codes, and consent forms you sign but don't read... there were women, in communities, catching babies and keeping families well.
That model didn't disappear because it failed. It was dismantled.
And right now? The world is hungry to rebuild what was taken.
