The rafters are raised.
Cormie's Cottage is becoming a reality.
But so what?
It means recovery not only starts here, it goes on here, it grows here.

Because of you.
Because of the Lord.
Because Leon and Donita Brush took their loss and made it West Virginia’s gain.
Heaven’s gain.

18 years of residents being introduced to the Lord.
Seeing Him in action.
Seeing Him work miracles in their own lives.
Meeting Him in a personal way.

Here. At Brian’s Safehouse.
At Sparrow’s Nest.

18 years of living recovery. Not just learning it, but *living* it and seeing it lived out in staff. In graduates. In guys who walked away but eventually *got it* and come back to say, “It’s because of you. Because of God in you.”

We couldn’t do it without you—you the community. The prayers. The supporters. The ones who recognize these are valuable, treasured people.

And so you invest.
You pray.
You make a difference.

(Did you know that when you’re testing to see if your pipes are going to leak, it’s better to run hot water through them? The heat makes the pipes expand and more likely to show if there are leaks.)

What a privilege for the Sparrows to help Sherrie Hunter and the Raleigh County Commission on Aging’s Meals on Wheels program get a good start on fresh produce for this summer by planting 250 cucumber, tomato, and pepper plants. Their work started at 7:30 am, and they put in a good morning’s work. 😅🌱💕 Blessings abound when you serve others! We thank the Lord for a cooler, overcast morning!
