I want to give a shout-out to my buddy Todd Price, who encouraged me to write and told me about the Medium platform.

And I greatly appreciate the rest of you who have sent me messages and words of encouragement. It means a lot, and it's been the fuel that has kept me going.

Congratulations 🙌🔥

I thought that being a party girl was all I was and all I was ever going to be. I was hopeless. I had given up on any chance of a future. I soon started experiencing serious consequences and hit plenty of rock bottoms. I was in a dire state. I had finally had enough. It was life or death. It was alcohol or everything else. I couldn’t continue to live the way I was living.

I thought that alcohol had promised me a lot of things, but they weren’t true. Sobriety has given me everything I thought alcohol promised me. Sobriety has given me a new found hope and love on life. I’m grateful to be alive, and I even look forward to the future. I’m able to see beauty in everyday things and I don’t have to hide anymore.
