☀️ Hot weather can be dangerous for all pets, but brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds like Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, Pugs, Boston Terriers, and Shih Tzus are at especially high risk for heat stroke.

Because of their shortened airways, these pets have a harder time cooling themselves through panting. Even a short walk, time in the sun, or a warm car can quickly become life-threatening.

🚨 Signs of heat stroke:
• Excessive panting
• Difficulty breathing
• Bright red gums
• Weakness or collapse
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Seizures

🐾 Keep your pets safe:
✅ Walk during cooler hours
✅ Provide plenty of fresh water
✅ Stay in air-conditioned areas
✅ Avoid strenuous exercise in the heat
✅ Never leave pets in a parked car

If you suspect heat stroke, seek veterinary care immediately—every minute counts.

Our local cat rescue is full of amazing cats looking for forever homes. Every adoption helps free up space so they can rescue more cats in need. 🐱✨

We have over 200 cats and kittens in the rescue and foster care. We cannot bring anymore in till we have at least 60 adoptions. We are too crowded and overwhelmed. Please share our posts if you can’t adopt. 🙏🏻🐾

Laser therapy is a safe, non-invasive treatment that helps reduce pain, swelling, and inflammation while speeding up healing. We use it for:

✔️ Arthritis
✔️ Trauma & injuries
✔️ Wound healing
✔️ Post-surgery recovery
✔️ Post-dental procedures & extractions

⚠️ Laser therapy cannot be used over areas where cancer is present.

And of course, Mango 🐱 had to model his laser goggles during treatment 😎

Maru’s story is one of strength, compassion, and teamwork. ❤️🐾
After suffering a traumatic dog attack, she needed emergency surgery, intensive hospitalization, daily bandage care, and endless love. Through every challenge, Maru showed incredible resilience and the sweetest spirit.

Today, Maru is healing beautifully and back home in Virginia with her loving family. We are so grateful to everyone who came together for her care — proving that teamwork, kindness, and great medicine can make all the difference.
