Three myths about nutrition after cancer that I bust with my clients every. single. day.

Women in remission are out here doing everything they’ve been told… cutting sugar, eating perfectly, trying to get back to who they were before, and still feeling lost in their own body.

So let’s clear a few things up.

Myth 1: sugar feeds cancer
Myth 2: you can prevent recurrence through diet
Myth 3: the goal is to get your old self back

If any of those hit, this video is for you.

📌SAVE this one.

it’s the kind of thing worth coming back to 🧡

Grocery shopping after cancer treatment is one of those things nobody warns you about.

You used to walk those aisles on autopilot. You knew what you needed, you grabbed it, you left. Simple.

And then treatment ends, and suddenly you’re standing in the cereal aisle completely frozen. Every label feels like a test. Every choice feels loaded. The thing that used to take 20 minutes now takes everything you have.

That’s not you being dramatic. That’s your nervous system trying to protect you after everything it just went through.

Food fear after treatment is real, it’s common, and it makes complete sense given what your body has been through.

If this has been you, drop a 🛒 in the comments. I see you.

This one is for the woman who finished treatment and waited to feel relieved.

And then didn’t.

Who smiled through the “you did it” comments while quietly wondering why she still felt so lost inside her own body. Who googled things at 2am she wasn’t sure she was allowed to ask her oncologist. Who ate the “right” things and still felt like she was doing it wrong somehow.

You weren’t failing. You were just never given a real roadmap for this part.

That’s exactly why I’m here. I’m Taylor, a registered dietitian + CSO (Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition), and this page exists for the women in remission who are still figuring out what “now what” actually means.

You found the right place. 🤍

Save this if it landed. Share it with someone who needs to hear it.

Rich because my camera roll looks like this.

A week that had no business being this good. A last minute add-on that turned into hours with the kind of conversation that reminds you what it feels like to be lit up by another person. ✨ A class I walked into not knowing what to expect and left already planning my return. 🌀Volunteered at the farmers market like I do, because advocating for a better food system is just part of who I am. We had more sun gold tomato sauce, a collab between Biver Farms and Ed’s Deli that I definitely recommend you buying before the season ends. And Forest, our gentle giant, who wants to be close but absolutely on his terms, supervising from the top of the stairs like the CEO he is.

This is my life. The food, the people, the random talk that cracks something open.

If you’re new here — hi. I’m Taylor, a dietitian specializing in life after cancer. I talk about food, but mostly I talk about what it actually means to live well after treatment. I hope you stick around.

Sometimes the inconvenient option gets you the better result.

Building new habits after cancer is going to feel uncomfortable. It’s going to feel uncertain. That’s not a sign something’s wrong… that’s just what growth feels like at the start.

Bring home the watermelon with seeds.

You don’t have to have it figured out. You just have to keep going.

I’m Taylor, a dietitian and certified specialist in oncology nutrition, and I’m here to help women in remission reconnect with themselves and live fully after cancer.

If that’s you, follow along. This is your space. 🧡

Understanding your options is the first step toward making informed decisions about your care.

Which distinction surprised you the most? 👀

Here’s the deal.

If we could bottle up physical activity in a pill form, we would.

Unfortunately, getting in a rhythm of moving your body isn’t as easy as taking a daily medication. Plus, many of us require support around building out that habit. Myself included.

The juicy thing is that moving 10 minutes at a time actually has health benefits.

This is pretty cool. 1 habit to help manage many, many things. I’m talking…
fatigue
appetite
sleep
anxiety
constipation
bone health
heart health
confidence
& more 🙌🏼

My 12-week program, Remission Reset, supports you with finding a movement that adds joy to your life, not stress.

You’re not alone.

Here’s something I wish every survivor knew: cancer is probably the least interesting thing about you.

Yes, it shaped you. It likely has changed your body, your relationship with food, your confidence, and/or the way you see the world. Those things matter.

But they are not the whole story.

As an oncology dietitian, I’m passionate about hearing your story—not just your cancer story.

I want to know what lights you up. What brings you joy. What you’ve been afraid to dream about again. Who you were before cancer, who you’ve become because of it, and who you’re still becoming.

Nutrition is one part of that journey. Creating space for the real you to be nourished, present, and fully alive is the bigger picture.

Because you deserve a life that’s defined by so much more than a diagnosis.

💗 If you’re ready to reconnect with yourself, I’d love to meet you on a discovery call. Drop an emoji below to learn more.

Because after cancer, food can start to feel like one more thing you have to figure out.

One more decision.
One more “should.”
One more thing to push through.

But what if it didn’t have to feel that way?

What if nourishment felt simpler, softer, and more supportive?

What if you had help figuring out what to eat, what to buy, and how to care for yourself without overthinking every bite?

You deserve support that helps you feel more like yourself again.

Comment “💅🏼” if this is the kind of support you’ve been craving.
