When people hear the term betrayal trauma, they often think of infidelity or romantic relationships. But betrayal can take many forms.

It can happen within families, friendships, workplaces, faith communities, or institutions we trusted to protect and support us.

Whenever someone or something we depend on violates that trust, the impact can be deeply painful and disorienting.

No matter where the betrayal comes from, the wounds are real. Healing begins by acknowledging the hurt, making sense of the experience, and rebuilding a sense of safety within yourself.

If this resonates with you, reach out to us at www.thebtrc.com or consider talking with a trusted friend or family member.

Ever wonder why you didn’t recognize the betrayal sooner?

That’s not weakness or denial. It’s often your brain trying to protect you from overwhelming pain before you were emotionally ready to fully process it.

When trust and attachment are involved, the mind can minimize, rationalize, or overlook certain signs in order to preserve connection and safety.

Our ADHD assessments are designed to provide a thorough and compassionate understanding of your experiences, not just a checklist of symptoms.

Our evaluations include detailed clinical interviews, behavioral observations, and standardized testing to assess attention, impulsivity, hyperactivity, and executive functioning, while also considering co-occurring concerns such as anxiety, depression, or learning differences.

And because diagnosis is only the beginning, we also offer ongoing support through therapy, coaching, and resources to help you better understand you or your child's brain and thrive in daily life.

Men are often told to “open up more,” but rarely taught how or given spaces where vulnerability actually feels safe.

Emotional suppression doesn’t just impact men individually. It affects relationships, communication, mental health, intimacy, and connection.

Real strength is not the absence of emotion.
It’s the ability to face it honestly.

If this resonates with you, don't hesitate to reach out. We offer individual and group therapy options just for you. ✨

AI intimacy is forcing people to ask questions we never thought we’d have to answer:

Can emotional cheating happen without another human involved? Can artificial connection replace emotional intimacy? And what happens when technology becomes easier than vulnerability?

As AI companionship becomes more normalized, conversations around betrayal, attachment, loneliness, and emotional escape are becoming more complex too.

We are SO excited to announce that Mary-Frances is now officially an ETT Certified Therapist! 🎉

ETT, or Emotional Transformation Therapy, is a powerful therapeutic approach that uses elements such as light, color, and eye movement to help regulate the nervous system, process trauma, reduce emotional distress, and support deeper healing. It’s often used to help clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and attachment-related challenges.

We’re incredibly proud of Mary-Frances for continuing to expand her clinical knowledge and provide innovative, trauma-informed care to our clients. 🥰 And for any clinicians interested in learning more about ETT training, feel free to reach out. We’d love to connect with you!

When the shock of betrayal begins to fade, the deeper pain often starts to surface. For betrayed partners, this is usually when the full weight of the grief, confusion, and hurt finally settles in.

And for the betraying partner, healing isn’t about rushing forgiveness or trying to “fix” the pain. It’s about learning how to respond with patience, accountability, empathy, and the willingness to hold space for difficult emotions without becoming defensive.

Real relationship healing takes time, consistency, and emotional safety.
