Sunshine Street will not be holding programs on Labor Day, Monday September 7. The incredible staff at MOVE Inclusive Dance are having an inservice and will be using their studio (have fun!!). But don't worry, we'll be back to it on Tuesday, Sept. 8!

September is upon us! I'm looking forward to easing our way towards fall, anyone else?
I'm also looking forward to seeing y'all on Sunshine Street! Our weekly schedule has something for everyone ages 0-5. All of our programs are super interactive and literacy based, promoting book love and early language skills, etc., while giving kids the opportunity for play based learning and socialization.

I LOVE the Hummingbird Festival at Warner Park Nature Center!!! As the children’s librarian at the Bellevue Branch of the Nashville Public Library, I was so lucky to participate for years reading stories to all the families.
I am absolutely thrilled to be back reading stories at the festival this year as Sunshine Street!! Come see me and check out the amazing Hummingbird activities happening on Saturday, September 5!!

Save the Date for our annual Hummingbird Celebration!!

Ruby-throated hummingbirds are migrating south and busy visiting our feeders and flowers! This free event features fun and educational activities for people of all ages, including hummingbird banding from 9-11 a.m., hummingbird observation and education stations, face painting, art activities, tips on attracting hummingbirds, and much more.

A few pictures from our Magical Pink Tent Adventures! It’s been so much fun transforming this space into something totally new and different for the kids to see and open up their imaginations. Their reactions and how they show what they’re learning through play are priceless - and so are the faces of delight on the grownups. Out Magical Pink Tent Adventures are held on Wednesday mornings and we have Story Play Times, Books in Motion movement programs and Story Adventures Monday-Thursday mornings. That’s a wrap on today’s Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons Magical Pink Tent Adventure! All the kids had a great time, lots of laughs and learning going on. Thanks to everyone who came!! I will be posting more pics soon.
