To the generous supporters of Face Shields by Teens --
Thank you for all the donations, constant support, and enthusiasm for our project. Face Shields by Teens would not be possible without you.
Over the past five weeks, we have made and donated 3280 face shields to over 25 facilities.
With your donations and $1,020 from the Chinese Bible Church of Greater Lowell, we have raised just over $6,000 on our GoFundMe. Outside of our GoFundMe, our project has also received $1000 each from the Sino-American Pharmaceutical Professionals Association and WeStar Alliance. Thank you!
Our project has received a total of $8150, but since PayPal deducts money for every transaction, we have a total of $8,000 to use. Our total face shield material cost is about $7000, which is well within our original budget of $7500. With the extra $1,000 fund, we’ve bought 400 commercial face shields. Belmont Chinese American Association volunteers are helping us distribute these shields to essential businesses in the neighborhood.
We would also like to express our gratitude to those who shared our cause and our many supporters for their generosity. Thank you to our hardworking team and inspiring parents for helping us create all these face shields and guiding us along the way. Finally, thank you to the courageous healthcare workers who work tirelessly even as we all stay home.
We are so grateful for your continued support throughout this pandemic. We believe that Face Shields by Teens has increased the positivity of healthcare workers fighting COVID-19 around the world. We hope that our face shields have made a lasting impact and that this project has inspired other teens and adults to find ways to give back to the community. In times of solidarity, we must come together to combat this pandemic. Remember: we’re all in this together.
