Many of my clients are surprised when the first thing I teach them is how to breathe.

Breathing influences how your body performs because it directly affects your core stability, posture, balance, and ability to create force.

Before you squat, hinge, push, or pull, your body needs pressure and stability from the inside out.

That breath helps create a stable core.
A stable core helps protect your spine.
And when your body feels stable, it can produce more power safely and efficiently.

Good breathing mechanics can help:
• Improve core stability
• Increase power output
• Reduce unnecessary tension
• Improve lifting mechanics
• Support pelvic floor function
• Help you feel more confident under load

A lot of people try to “brace” by just tightening everything.
But true stability comes from learning how to coordinate breath, pressure, and movement together.

This is especially important as we get older, recover from injury, or navigate changes in our bodies.

Sometimes getting stronger starts with something much simpler than people expect.

It starts with learning how to breathe well.

Myth: You need to “fix” your body before you start training.
Truth: Smart training is often part of the solution.

Aches, pains, old injuries, stiffness, lack of confidence in movement… these things do not automatically disqualify you from exercise. In many cases, the right training program can help improve them.

A well designed program builds strength, stability, mobility, and resilience over time while meeting your body where it is today. Good coaching is not about pushing through pain or pretending injuries do not exist. It is about adapting intelligently, progressing appropriately, and helping you move better and feel stronger.

The best coaches also work alongside physical therapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, and other rehab professionals to support your recovery while still moving you toward your goals.

You do not need a “perfect” body to begin. You need a smart plan, proper guidance, and consistency. 💪

Our Strength in Perimenopause class is designed to help you:
✔ Build and maintain muscle
✔ Improve bone density
✔ Increase strength and stability

A lot of people think rehab ends when the pain fades.
But that is only part of the process.

The real goal is not just getting out of pain.
It is rebuilding strength, stability, and confidence so your body can handle life again.

That process takes more than random workouts or jumping back into activity too soon.

It takes progression.
Patience.
Intentional training.

First, you restore movement.
Then you rebuild control and stability.
Then you gradually load the body again so it can tolerate more demand.

Eventually, you return to real movement.
Real strength.
Real life.

Because success is not just being “pain free.”
It is hiking without hesitation.
Lifting without fear.
Getting back to workouts, adventures, and everyday life with confidence in your body again.

👉 At UpLift Training, we help bridge the gap between rehab and fully returning to the life you love.
