Located in Bend, we work with a wide variety of diagnoses and challenges using a family centered approach. Beginnings serves clients from 0-18 years of age.

Last month I had the joy of spending time with Troop 28163 to discuss childhood development and I had the best afternoon. They are a group of smart, thoughtful, and playful girls who have such bright opportunities ahead of them. thank you to for having me, I had a blast!

So honored to be a vendor for SENSE Family Autism Care at the CODSN Breaking Barriers conference today! Being a part of so many community partners advocating for and supporting individuals with disabilities was the medicine my heart needed, and watching and listening to people with disabilities self-advocate and express themselves was empowering and beautiful. I am so proud to share this community with every single person I came across today, and can't wait to continue sharing and supporting SENSE with families in Oregon!

HOW has it been a year?! Opening Beginnings has filled a part of my soul I never expected. I feel completely overwhelmed with gratitude and love for my therapy community here: the families I serve, the therapists who lift me up, and my friends and family who push me and support me no matter what. I truly could not have done this without every single one of you. Thank you from the very bottom of my heart. Let's keep the party going!

Qigong Sensory Training (QST) is an evidence based regulation strategy for children with ASD. Research shows that most children with ASD have challenges receiving sensory information. QST is a sensory massage that supports calming of the nervous system and allows the child to take in and respond to their world in a more regulated way, which helps them to learn and grow and develop life skills that have previously felt unattainable.

I became certified as a QST trainer in September 2025 and provide parent education in-clinic and via telehealth support. Think your child could benefit or might be a good fit? Let's connect!

Fort building for the win! ⛺️ Building a fort incorporates so many awesome skills: planning, problem solving, perseverance, collaboration, flexible thinking, just to name a few. It's also a great way to connect with your child and create something new.

I am so excited to partner with SENSE Family Autism Care this spring! SENSE's mission is to provide telehealth based parent training for parents of children with Autism, using Qigong Sensory Training massage (QST).

We all know waitlists for therapy in Central Oregon are absolutely wild. The goal of SENSE is to guide and educate parents in QST, an evidence based sensory massage that supports positive sensory, behavior, and social changes in children with ASD. It's coordination station over here! This guy has come a long way in balance, core strength, and bilateral coordination, all of which are so important for success in school. You wouldn't think it, but handwriting and attention are greatly impacted by these foundational skills and rely heavily on our ability to balance and control our bodies. Who knew?! 🤯
